Layla Hilmi
About
Layla is a Paralegal working in the Washington, D.C. office. Originally from Potomac, Maryland, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Miami with a major in Political Science, and with minors in Business Law and Law and Politics. During her time at the University of Miami, Layla was actively involved in several student organizations, including the Miami International Relations Association and Student Government, where she held leadership positions. She was also a member of several academic and professional societies, including the pre-law fraternity Phi Alpha Delta, and the prestigious honor society Phi Beta Kappa, where she developed strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Prior to joining CGFL, Layla interned at the Montgomery County Circuit Court, where she deepened her understanding of the legal system and further strengthened her passion for the law. She plans to attend law school in the future and is currently preparing for the LSAT while continuing to expand her legal knowledge and experience. Outside of work, Layla enjoys playing tennis, cooking for her family and friends, and staying active in the gym.
