Casey's Retail Company Deceptive Discount Advertising Class Action

In August 2025, Cuneo Gilbert & LaDuca, along with co-counsel Shindler, Anderson, Goplerud & Weese, P.C., filed a class action lawsuit against Casey’s General Stores in the Iowa District Court for Polk County. The lawsuit alleges that Casey’s deceptively advertised in-store discounts that were not honored at checkout, leading customers to pay more than the advertised prices.

According to the complaint, Casey’s displayed shelf tags and signs promising “rebates at the register” without disclosing that the discounts were contingent on participation in the Casey’s Rewards program. The alleged conduct violates Iowa consumer protection laws and constitutes fraud, misrepresentation, and unjust enrichment, harming consumers across Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, Missouri, and Wisconsin.
