McConnell v. Federal Election Commission

|

In 2003, CGL represented Members  of Congress on both sides of the aisle, defending the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002 (McCain-Feingold bill) in the Supreme Court. This included the filing of an extensive amicus curiae brief by Professor Charles Tiefer and Jonathan Cuneo (see below). Ultimately, inMcConnell v. Federal Election Commission, the Court upheld almost every provision of the McCain-Feingold bill.
