MICHAEL G. LENETT is both a member of the firm and a member of the Maryland Senate, where he represents Maryland's District 19 (Montgomery County). Mr. Lenett has extensive experience representing clients in complex consumer protection and class action litigation (especially in the securities law area) and with respect to public policy matters before Congress and federal agencies.

Before joining the firm in 1996, Mr. Lenett served as Special Counsel to the Securities and Exchange Commission (1993) (where he had previously served as a staff attorney), Counsel to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on Antitrust, Monopolies and Business Rights (1993-1995), and Counsel to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee (1995-1996).

Mr. Lenett has published numerous articles and lectured on the federal securities laws, the legislative process, and other subjects.
