Generic Biologic Drugs
Access to Life-Saving Medicine Act (U.S. Congress)
We have been retained to build and work with a consumer-patient-labor coalition to support legislation in Congress that would provide a "roadmap" for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to allow generic versions of biotech, or biological, drugs to be sold in the U.S. Biologics, which are different from traditional pharmaceutical products because they are produced from living cell cultures rather than chemicals, promise a new generation of life-saving treatments for diseases like cancer, diabetes, AIDS, multiple sclerosis, and heart disease.
Teva Pharmaceuticals
The firm works for Teva Pharmaceuticals, the world's largest producer of generic drugs, in its efforts to enact a workable pathway for the approval of generic versions of biologic drugs in the U.S. Our firm's role is to work with consumer groups and labor unions who are seeking access to affordable biologic medicines for their constituents.
